RAW Superstar Penta’s spot at Night Of Champions reportedly did not go down well with a WWE legend.
Penta is one of the most entertaining athletes in the Stamford-based promotion’s main roster, and one of the things that makes him stand out is the unique strut he does during his entrance. Fans and wrestlers alike have expressed their adoration of the strut, with many videos of it going viral across the internet.
However, WWE legend Bully Ray was not happy to see it being a spot at Night of Champions.
Bully Ray Expresses Frustration About Penta’s Spot At WWE Night Of Champions
Towards the end of the main event of Night of Champions, there were multiple run-ins, including Penta, who came to the aid of CM Punk. While everyone else hurried towards the ring, the luchador took his own time, which frustrated the Hall of Famer.
Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, the veteran expressed how that spot took away from the moment in the match. He drew a parallel to Jeff Hardy’s AEW debut, where he danced on the entrance ramp before going in to save Matt.
Bully Ray also added how there were a lot of incidents that ruined the experience for him, and reiterated that he doesn’t like such spots that take him away from the moment when he is fully immersed:
Here’s CM Punk, and he needs help, and you, Penta, was standing in the back, and you saw the screen and you were like: my God! CM Punk, adiós mijo, CM Punk needs help! Somebody hit my music so I can go help CM Punk! But I’m gonna high five, and I’m gonna look at the people, and I’m gonna do all this other s**t before I get there…You take me out of the moment!”
“What’s right is right, and what’s wrong is wrong! Penta? Out of the moment! The referee holding the table? Out of the moment! I want to be fully immersed in the moment!”

While Bully Ray gave a fair assessment of what rubbed him the wrong way, it could also be the case that the luchador was just caught in the moment.
However, the spot played out at the end of the day, and fans were left entertained, and for a talent, that is all that matters.
