Penta El Zero Miedo has teased the potential return of a classic Lucha Underground persona on last night’s AEW Dynamite!
Speaking in a pre-taped vignette after last week’s loss to The Kings of The Black Throne, Penta’s intentions were addressed by Alex Abrahantes where he said the effects of Malakai’s mist had forced a dark change in the former AEW Tag Team Champion.
From here, Penta dug up his ‘Pentagon Dark’ mask, teasing a return to the beloved persona that has not been seen since his Lucha Underground days!
A darker variation of his character, Pentagon Dark had a far more aggressive approach – with a penchant for snapping his opponent’s limbs with a brutal arm snap.
@PENTAELZEROM intends to rise above the #HouseOfBlack's @malakaiblxck mist.

This gimmick hasn’t truly been seen from Penta in AEW, beyond a brief feud with Cody Rhodes last year.
Prior to being sprayed by Black’s mist, the AEW star had been embroiled in a feud with The House of Black alongside his Death Triangle comrades PAC and Rey Fenix. With Fenix currently out-of-action, however, it looks to be down to Penta El Zero Miedo to continue the fight alone.
Elsewhere on the February 9th edition of AEW Dynamite: Keith Lee and Jay White made their respective debuts and Hangman Page retained the AEW World Championship in a brutal Texas Deathmatch over Lance Archer.
