Paul London has shot back at Booker T after the WWE Hall of Famer previously claimed that he had never hurt anyone in the ring.
In the professional wrestling industry being able to say that you didn’t hurt anyone in the ring during you career is a badge of honour. One that only a relative few, such a Bret Hart can legitimately wear.
Another man who prides himself on being a ‘safe worker’ inside the ropes is Booker T. However, former WWE Superstar Paul London has now disputed that claim, alleging that the star broke his nose. Furthermore, the former World Champion didn’t apologise for the incident.
During an appearance on Cafe de Rene with Rene Dupree, London mocked Booker over his claims.
“I had got my nose broken by [makes Booker T impression] and still to this day, has never apologized and has been in denial of it. ‘[Booker T voice] I never hurt nobody, I never hurt nobody.’ Oh yeah? You hurt me and you hurt Rene [Dupree]. But I guess your delusions are false.”
After making his in-ring debut in 2000, Paul London enjoyed a year long-stint with Ring of Honor from 2002 to 2003, before signing with WWE in the middle of that year.
Off the back of a short run in developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling, London made his main roster debut on the October 9th 2003 episode of SmackDown where he was demolished by WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
Over the following five years, London teamed with both Brian Kendrick and Billy Kidman to claim tag team gold. In total he Tag Team Championships on three occasions. He also tasted success as a singles wrestler, winning the Cruiserweight Title.
After being released by WWE in November 2008, London returned to the independent circuit where he appeared for the likes of ROH, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Lucha Underground.
