Legendary microphone wielder Paul Heyman has singled out one particular WWE tag team for their expert promo skills.
Speaking during a High Spots Virtual Q&A Heyman heaped praise on The Street Profits suggesting that while they’re already great on the microphone, there could be even more to come.
“The Street Profits. They get a lot of credit for being great promos, I don’t think they’ve even scratched the surface of how great they are yet. Both of them. The rhythm between the two of them is just magic,”
The current Special Counsel to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns later praised Armando Alejandro Estrada and Austin Idol as two of the more underrated mic-men in wrestling history.
In a recent interview, Paul Heyman discussed his own promo producing prowess. The former owner of ECW explained that the key to a successful promo is to read the room and know your audience. Heyman also delved into how his style has had to evolve over the course of his career depending on which role he is currently fulfilling, describing promos as “an evolving process.”
Meanwhile, back on SmackDown the Street Profits were most recently in action in a strong showing against the reunited Usos. While Dawkins and Ford were ultimately defeated, their performance ensured that they’re still held in high esteem.
However, on the most recent episode of the blue brand, the team were attacked backstage by Otis.
The Street Profits have enjoyed a great deal of success over the course of their relatively short careers. The high-energy team have held all three tag team titles in WWE. The pair most recently held the SmackDown Tag Team Titles before being defeated by Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler in December.
