Paul Heyman References Infamous CM Punk Media Scrum At WrestleMania Press Conference

Paul Heyman & CM Punk

Paul Heyman has never been shy about flirting with controversy and he continued that trend in the post-WrestleMania 39 press conference.

Seated beside Roman Reigns, Heyman watched on as the Tribal Chief batted away questions like he has batted away challengers.

The final question of the segment came from Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling. Hausman asked about the news that WWE looks to be on the verge of being sold to Endeavour, who also own UFC. It has been reported that the deal could even be announced as early as April 3rd.

After Reigns commented that he didn’t know much about the story, Heyman took to the microphone. The Special Counsel got a laugh out of the room including Reigns by quipping that Hausman has a “bad habit of starting problems at press conferences.”

Nick Hausman was famously involved in speaking to CM Punk when he launched into his tirade following All Out.

Paul Heyman Helps Roman Reigns Retain The Undisputed WWE Universal Title

In the main event of WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Title with a shocking win over Cody Rhodes. During the match, the momentum swung back and forth, but Rhodes appeared to be heading for the win after surviving everything that Reigns threw at him.

However, with Reigns in trouble, Heyman climbed onto the ring apron in a final bid to help his Tribal Chief. This enabled Solo Sikoa to return to ringside after being ejected earlier and deliver a Samoan Spike. With Rhodes stunned, Reigns hit a thunderous Spear to claim an unlikely win.
