Paul Heyman – “If Brock Lesnar Wants To Return To WWE He Will”

Brock Lesnar

It has long been rumoured that Brock Lesnar will return to WWE in the near future, possibly for a headline bout at SummerSlam.

Lesnar has been absent from WWE since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020. In the meantime, Heyman has become aligned with the current Universal Champion Roman Reigns, serving as his Special Counsel. This has obviously raised questions about Heyman’s on-screen loyalties should Lesnar return.

Speaking to Alistair McGeorge of The Metro, Heyman dismissed questions about his allegiance, adding that he doesn’t deal in hypotheticals. Expanding further, Lesnar’s advocate said that his client will return to WWE only if he wants to. But by the same token, Lesnar could wind up doing anything, as he simply does what wants.

“Well, that’s a hypothetical question and I deal in facts, not hypotheticals. My father used to say, “If, if, if – if your aunt had balls, she’d be your uncle. She doesn’t, so she’s not.”

“Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wants to return to WWE, he will. If Brock Lesnar wants to take the UFC Championship from Francis Ngannou, he will.”

“If Brock Lesnar wants to join football and run circles around Neymar and Ronaldo and [David] Beckham, he will. If Brock Lesnar to get involved with rugby, he’ll smash every record of any rugby player in the history of the game – and he will.”

While Lesnar’s football skills remain open to debate, what’s for certain is that if and when he returns to WWE numerous high-profile clashes await.

However, while it has long been thought that Lesnar will feature at SummerSlam that might not necessarily be the case. Speaking on The Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, Andrew Zarian stated that he doesn’t believe that The Beast will be at the summer spectacular.

Meanwhile, rumours continue to gather pace that another huge superstar could be returning to WWE in the very near future, and that Superstar is John Cena.

Speculation has continued to persist that a Cena vs. Roman Reigns showdown could headline the event. It is speculation that show no sign of stopping, following reports that Cena could be back on WWE television very soon.
