SmackDown’s resident wise man Paul Heyman has hinted that Naomi may have joined The Bloodline, even if the relationship hasn’t appeared on WWE television.
Naomi arrived back on the blue brand on August 27th and immediately clashed with Sonya Deville.
However, given that the former SmackDown Women’s Champion’s real life husband is Jimmy Uso, many fans had expected her to join The Bloodline.
The stable consisting of SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and Universal Champion Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman acting as Special Counsel currently sit atop the blue brand beating all before them.
Speaking in a new interview with Rick Ucchino of Sportskeeda, Paul Heyman suggested that Naomi might already be onboard with the group. Heyman said that just because the relationship hasn’t appeared on television, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.
“How do you know she’s not already at the table? Because it’s not on television? Does everything happen on television?
“That leaves a lot of time for the rest of the week when there are machinations and manoeuvres and negotiations and strategies and things happening that you don’t see on television. How do you know she is not at the table already? Ahh! Ahh! Exactly!”
The October 15th episode of SmackDown was a huge night for both Naomi and The Bloodline. The Usos retained their Tag Team Titles in a Street Fight against The Street Profits. While Naomi finally got a match following her return to the blue brand. Not that it went exactly to plan.
After Sonya Deville had said she was going to face Naomi in the ring, she revealed on SmackDown that she would be joined by Shayna Baszler, making the contest a Handicap Match. Despite a spirited effort, the power and aggression from Baszler and Deville eventually proved to be too much.
The main event of the show featured the contract signing between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Despite being less than a week away from the match-up, Lesnar still had time for more mind games. After Reigns signed the contract, Lesnar quickly followed suit without reading it. When Reigns questioned this, Lesnar said he’s already been over the contract with his advocate, Paul Heyman.
