Pat McAfee, leader of The Kings of NXT, has received an offer from the vigilante group, RETRIBUTION, to join them in their world of anarchy on Monday nights.
The offer came from MACE, the artist formerly known as Dio Maddin, following the news that WWE were planning on keeping the star off of the black and gold brand until at least Spring.
Once the story had been broken by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McAfee took to Twitter to comically state that he thinks he was fired at Christmas.

In reply to the tweet, the RETRIBUTION member replied with a simple offer to the former NFL player – as well as NXT’s Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, inviting them both into the group:
“Want some RETIBUTION?”

As of writing, Pat McAfee has yet to respond to the tweet and neither is he expected to. With a good thing going with Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan in NXT, there would be zero reason for him to take a spot in the red brand’s group.
The news that NXT had withdrawn the talent came as a shock to many, as he’d been one of the best things about the brand for some time. However, according to Dave Meltzer, the decision was made purely by WWE without input from the mouthpiece, though no reason is yet clear as to why he has been nixed.
The last time we saw McAfee in NXT was TakeOver: WarGames on December 6, when his Kings of NXT fell in a brutal scrap to The Undisputed ERA.
