Pat McAfee Makes Earth Shattering Return To NXT

On last night’s edition of NXT, Pat McAfee made a game-changing return to the black and yellow brand for the first time since August 22, helping crown new NXT Tag Team Champions.

McAfee, who impressed during his bout with Adam Cole in August, was responsible for the attack on The Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong earlier in the evening which handed Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan the spot in the NXT Tag Team Championship Match.

During the main event of the evening, a masked man hit the ring and took out Fandango which allowed a newly turned Burch and Lorcan to nail a low blow and their finisher on Tyler Breeze for the victory.

After the match, McAfee revealed himself to be the masked menace and celebrated with his new friends as a fresh stable was born.

After NXT had gone off of the air, McAfee took the microphone to cut a wonderfully scathing promo which cemented his alliance with the new NXT Tag Team Champions and positioned the trio as the three top heels on the brand.

Though he didn’t confirm it, McAfee is now believed to be the driving force behind Ridge Holland’s attack on Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver 31, although if NXT wanted to really throw a spanner in the works then another twist in the tale could be on the not too distant horizon.
