The man known as ‘The Next Brock Lesnar’ Parker Boudreaux has teased an appearance at the upcoming NXT Breakout Tournament.
After it was announced that the tournament would be returning on July 13th, Boudreaux tweeted out the word “breakout.” The tweet has since been deleted.
The former college football star signed with WWE amongst much fanfare back in February as part of the largest Performance Center class ever. Following his arrival Brock Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman heaped praise on the would-be WWE Superstar.
Should Parker Boudreaux appear in the tournament, it would mark his WWE in-ring debut.
On the most recent episode of NXT it was announced that the Breakout Tournament would return for the first time since 2019. The winner of the tournament will earn themselves a title shot at the NXT championship of their choosing.
The 2019 edition of the tournament was won by Jordan Myles (ACH) who defeated Cameron Grimes in the final.
The tournament also saw appearances by Champion Bronson Reed, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Dexter Lumis, Joaquin Wilde, Angel Garza, and Boa.
Reed and Scott have both enjoyed significant success since becoming regular fixtures on the black and gold brand. The who men have feuded over and with Scott’s recent victory, both held, the NXT North American Championship.
Meanwhile, Reed, along with Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Shotzi Blackheart have been backstage at recent episodes of RAW and SmackDown.
Last week, Kross and Reed were backstage at both of WWE’s main roster shows. The two men ended up competing in matches on Main Event.
