A new report has claimed that Edge “hand-picked” Parker Boudreaux, also known as Harland to be part of Judgment Day before he was released.
At WrestleMania 38, Edge defeated AJ Styles with a little bit of help from Damian Priest. In the lead-up to the match, the WWE Hall of Famer had embraced the dark side before being surprisingly joined by the former United States Champion.
With their union confirmed, the duo became known as Judgment Day. However, Edge’s recruitment drive wasn’t over. Once again in action against AJ Styles, this time at WrestleMania Backlash, Edge got a helping hand from a mystery figure who was quickly revealed to be Rhea Ripley.
Over the following weeks, Edge has hinted that more members could be on the way, while fans speculate over the group’s future.
Meanwhile, it has now been reported that Edge actually hand-picked a fourth member for the group, without their knowledge, only for them to be released. Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed an earlier report that suggested Harland, real name Parker Boudreaux, was planned to be involved with the group.
Meltzer adds that the move was a “major secret” but the plug was pulled after “the company found something out about Boudreaux and made the decision based on that.” Furthermore, Boudreaux was said to have stopped improving in the ring, and had a reputation for getting hurt too much early on.
His lack of improvement was reportedly behind the decision to release him from the company.
In recent days Edge has continued to tease adding new members to his group, posting photos of Tommaso Ciampa and Paige on social media.
