Details of Paige’s first post-WWE appearance have been revealed.

“Saraya, fka Paige will be coming home” reads the opening line of the latest announcement from the World Association of Wrestling.

On October 15th, Paige will be returning to where it all began, when she appears at Fightmare IV at the Norfolk Showground.

The World Association of Wrestling was founded in 1994 and is famously run by the soon-to-be former WWE star’s parents Ricky Knight and Sweet Saraya, and her brother Zak. The first ever NXT Women’s Champion began her career with the promotion all of the way back in 2005 when she was just 13. Her first real match as a professional came a year later under the same banner.

The announcement reveals that the British star will be appearing in a meet and greet, while hinting she may also be doing a little more.

On June 10th, Paige announced that she will be leaving WWE when her contract expires on July 7th. Since the confirmation, the former Divas Champion has expressed her desire to return to the ring, while revealing that it was WWE’s decision not to extend her deal.

Paige signed with WWE in 2011 and went on to become the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion. She added the Divas Championship in 2014, defeating AJ Lee in her first match on the main roster. The win made her the first woman to hold the NXT and Divas Titles simultaneously, while also being the youngest Women’s Champion in history.

However the star was forced to retire in 2018 after a series of neck injuries took their toll.
