WWE Superstar Paige has revealed that she is working towards making a return to in-ring competition.
The two-time WWE Divas champion was forced to retire back in 2018 due to a neck injury. She continued to make appearances on WWE TV for some time after this, first as the General Manager of SmackDown, a role she held for the majority of 2018, and then as the manager for the ‘Kabuki Warriors’, Asuka and Kairi Sane.
The ‘Anti-Diva’ has now taken to Twitter to tease a return to the squared circle, saying simply “I’m not done yet.”

Paige elaborated further on her Twitch live stream, which was transcribed by Fightful, saying that she is working hard to comeback, but if and when she does, she won’t tell anyone as she wants it to be a surprise. She also added that she will post any progress she makes on TikTok.
“I’m not f***ing done. I’m not done yet. This is going to be my comeback story. I’m inspired. I’m so inspired by the people coming back to wrestling and the more I think about it, I’m like, ‘Okay, mentally, I’m ready to go.’ I’m going to start working around, getting in the ring a little bit. Maybe. We’ll see. This is not saying I’m making a comeback tomorrow. It’s a long f***ing road. I still have to get cleared by doctors, I have to get cleared by WWE. It’s such a big process, but emotionally, I’m ready. The past few months, I didn’t think I was emotionally ready, but no, I’m f***ing ready to get back on the horse. Even if it takes me a year. One step at a time, build to it, that’s exactly what I’m doing. There’s a whole journey and it’s going to take some time.”
After the question was asked if potential returns for AJ Lee and Paige could happen simultaneously, Paige added:
“If AJ comes back, that would be a separate occasion. You can’t have two massive comebacks in one day. I’m not going to tell you if I am going to return, but when I do, and I’m saying when because I f***ing am, when I do, I will not tell you. It will be a surprise.”
Paige added that no-one should expect to see her outside of the WWE yet, saying she loves the WWE.
“I’m not leaving WWE, not that I know of [laughs]. Did I get fired? I’m still working for WWE. My contract isn’t up yet. I love the WWE.”
In related news, Fightful Select have reported that Paige revealed details of her current WWE Contract, which she signed back in 2019. According to the report, she mentioned on her Twitch stream that the deal will be up in June 2022, and if the company decides to renew her contract she would like to have Twitch as part of the deal.
“My contract is up in June of next year. Who knows if they would want to give me a new contract? Who’s to say they would want to? If they did, I’d love to have Twitch as a part of the contract”
Earlier this year, Paige provided an encouraging update on the condition of her neck, revealing that she had been back in the gym and was now able to squat 185lbs again.
