Now that her WWE tenure has come to an end, Paige recently discussed the possibility of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The inaugural NXT Women’s Champion had a rollercoaster of a run in WWE which ultimately came to an end on July 7th of this year after her contract expired and she was released from the company.
The Anti-Diva did it all during her WWE tenure. She was a multi-time Women’s Champion before she was forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2018. The star went on to fulfil a variety of other roles such as SmackDown Live General Manager and briefly managing the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane, known as the Kabuki Warriors.
The British Superstar has even had a Hollywood movie based on her life. Fighting With My Family was released in 2019 and focuses on the Knight family’s life in wrestling and Paige’s journey to the WWE.
Despite still only being 29 years old, it’s fair to say the Total Divas star has had a Hall of Fame-worthy career. She recently discussed her desire to to eventually fulfil this goal during an appearance on ‘The Bellas Podcast’.
She said:
“I set goals for myself when I got to WWE. I’ve done pretty much everything I wanted to do…but like, I wanted to be in the Hall of Fame so bad.”
There are currently only 22 women in the WWE Hall of Fame and Paige, real name Saraya, commented on how big of an accolade it would be to join the illustrious class of female stars that have already been inducted:
“Not a lot of women are in there. It would be huge. You have to make history to be in there.”
Nikki and Brie, the hosts of ‘The Bellas Podcast’, were full of praise for the former Divas Champion and admitted that they can see Paige eventually going into the Hall of Fame, with Nikki calling her a “massive part of WWE history”.
The Bella Twins themselves are two of the 22 women already in the WWE Hall of Fame, having been inducted together in 2020.
