Paige Jokingly Drops Hint At Women’s Royal Rumble Entry

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige has dropped the heaviest hint yet that she could well be a part of the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble.

The 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble is shaping up to be full of shocks and surprises after several former stars and WWE Hall Of Famers were announced as taking part in the match.

The Bella Twins and Lita will be a part of the showpiece match and perhaps most surprisingly, so will current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James. James left WWE in April 2021 under acrimonious circumstances with the five-time WWE Women’s Champion revealing she had been sent her belongings by the company in a trash bag.

One other former WWE Superstar is now teasing that she could be a part of proceedings on the 29th of January as well. Paige took to social media to reflect on her trending online and suggests she might be again soon:

3rd day in a row trending? Rumor has it I’ll be trending probably 18 more days”

18 days from Paige’s tweet will, of course, take us up to the day of the Royal Rumble itself and if the English star does take part it would be her first in-ring action since December 2017.

Paige suffered an injury in that bout that has seen her have to step away from the ring ever since. She went on to have an on-screen role in WWE as the General Manager of SmackDown and as the short-lived manager of The Kabuki Warriors.

In the last few years, wrestler retirements have been in the spotlight since both Bryan Danielson and Edge returned to the ring despite both men having to previously retire due to medical issues.
