According to Bodyslam.net, AEW Superstar PAC will miss the first night of the company’s New Year’s Smash on December 30.
With it being the Christmas and New Year period, the Brit will travel back to England on December 18 to spend the time with his family. However, the report states that the star aims to return for night two on January 6. This may be delayed depending on travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19 following New Year’s celebrations.
AEW fans can expect to see the star on the December 23 episode though, as that edition was pre-taped on December 17.
The news comes after the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion recently returned to the show following two weeks absence which in turn came after seven months away when he was trapped in the United Kingdom. His latest fracas came in the form of a brawl with Eddie Kingston and Lance Archer on the December 16 edition of AEW Dynamite.
Upon his first return to the Jacksonville company, PAC looked to reform his Death Triangle stable with Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix. The pair had been aligned with Eddie Kingston, The Butcher and The Blade during his absence resulting in a war between the Brit and Kingston which looks set to be resolved at AEW Revolution in February.
