One WWE Hall of Famer has discussed former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman and says he hasn’t missed him from watching wrestling on TV.
Braun Strowman was one of WWE’s biggest stars in the latter half of the 2010s. The giant star hovered around the main event scene for years after bursting into the company as the Black Sheep of The Wyatt Family.
In 2020, Strowman captured world championship gold in the company as he became WWE Universal Champion when he defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 36. He held the title until SummerSlam later that year when he lost to The Fiend Bray Wyatt.
Given his stature in the company, many fans were surprised when WWE announced that Braun Strowman was released from his contract on the 2nd of June 2021, along with the likes of Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, and Ruby Riott.
While those three other names have all since joined AEW, Braun Strowman has chosen to forge his wrestling path away from the major companies, joining up with EC3 to spearhead the Control Your Narrative promotion.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T has explained why he hasn’t missed Braun Strowman from television and says people ultimately forget you if you’re gone from TV:
“You know, I haven’t missed Braun Strowman [laughs]. Out of sight, out of mind. If you’re gone from TV for more than a significant amount of time, people forget you just like that.”
Booker T will be happy after a star he previously called for to return to WWE recently made their comeback with the company.
