Former Universal Champion Finn Balor has a simple message for those who don’t want to be in WWE.
While Finn Balor has enjoyed an impressive level of success in WWE, most notably as NXT Champion, as well as being crowned the first ever Universal Champion, he first rose to prominence elsewhere.
After starting out on the British and European wrestling circuit, Balor made the move to New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2006. While in Japan Balor formed part of the Bullet Club, competed in a number of acclaimed matches with the likes of Kota Ibushi and Hiroshi Tanahashi, won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament twice and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship three times.
During an appearance on the Cheap Heat podcast, Balor was asked about the advice he gives to younger stars, and anyone who might be thinking of leaving WWE.
“Yeah, for sure, and I tell them to go,” Balor said. “There’s a whole other world; I tell them to go. Sometimes we get caught up in the bubble that’s WWE, and there’s a whole world of wrestling outside there. If someone doesn’t want to be here, they should go.”
“If you don’t want to work in WWE, don’t be here, “For me, I want to be to here, so that’s why I’m here.”
Finn Balor currently forms one third of the Judgment Day faction alongside Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. After the trio kicked former leader Edge out of the group, the Rated R Superstar returned at SummerSlam to cost them a match against The Mysterios.
During the same interview Balor expressed his desire to face Rey Mysterio at Clast at the Castle on September 3rd.
