According to this wrestling legend, WWE could find a way to ruin AJ Lee’s return match after a decade.
Lee will have her first WWE match in 10 years at the upcoming premium live event, WrestlePalooza, on September 20th in Indianapolis. She will team up with her husband, CM Punk, against the power couple of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, in a mixed tag-team match.
However, according to the legendary Jim Cornette on Cornette’s Drive Thru, the Stamford-based promotion could have The Geek Goddess and The Man perform basic wrestling moves and gymnastics, something that could kill the aura of the upcoming match.
The only thing that will ruin it, is if AJ and Becky in this tag team match that they’re about to set up here soon on RAW, when they have it. If AJ and Becky start trying to wrestle and do one tackle, drop down, hip toss, hurricanrana, f**king dive, it’ll kill it,” Cornette claimed.
Cornette then made it clear that WWE should allow Lee and Lynch to go at it, with no restrictions and no reservations.
They wanna see these two beat the s**t out of each other. I’m not saying they can’t body slam somebody, but if they start doing just godd*mn cirque du soleil cartwheel wrestling, it’ll kill it. But they want to see these two f**kin’ fight and beat the s**t out of each other,” he added. [from 9:08 – 9:28]

Jim Cornette Wants to See WWE Feature AJ Lee on RAW More Often
As his review of AJ Lee’s WWE return on SmackDown progressed on his Drive Thru podcast, Jim Cornette stated that he wanted to see the company promote The Geek Goddess on Monday nights so that current fans can familiarize themselves with her.
They’re going to introduce AJ for the newer audiences, more on RAW, to make sure everybody’s with it. They’re telling a f**king story,” Cornette said.

AJ Lee has been away from the squared circle for ten years, and ring rust will definitely be a factor against her. Still, it will be interesting to see how she fares against arguably one of the best women’s wrestlers in WWE right now – Becky Lynch.
