One WWE Hall Of Famer Troubled By The Rock Causing A “Very Confusing” 2025

The Rock and Cody Rhodes on WWE SmackDown

One WWE Hall of Famer gives his candid thoughts on The Rock‘s strange segment with Cody Rhodes.

On the February 21st episode of SmackDown, The Rock made a late-announced return to WWE and announced that WrestleMania 42 will be held in New Orleans, LA.

That announcement wasn’t the only business at hand for The Great One, however. Rock also called Cody Rhodes to the ring, delivering a promo where he switched from babyface to heel multiple times before announcing his intentions, that he wanted Rhodes to become “his champion” and to sell his soul.

The segment caused much confusion online as to how Rock’s return could affect plans for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. Speaking on the latest edition of Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry weighed in on the segment, saying:

“This year has been very confusing [regarding The Rock],” Henry said. “The confusing part is easy to deal with. It’s the weirdness and the out-of-syncness that is troubling me as a fan.

And when I say out of syncness, I would go to the press conference and hearing The Rock, as Dwayne Johnson, talking about how great The Rock is and how great The Final Boss, the white whale unicorn, how great those characters are as it relates to them being in the WWE, like those two characters single handedly have saved the WWE, first off.”

Mark Henry Questions The Rock’s Statement On WWE SmackDown

Continuing, Mark Henry specifically questioned why Rock would say his issues with Cody Rhodes don’t need to end in a match, saying:

“Secondly, I don’t get [The Rock saying] it doesn’t need to culminate into a match. The whole point of good and evil is they’re both going up against each other.”
