Kayden Carter and Katana Chance now know who will be next to challenge them for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Ahead of the October 4th edition of NXT it was announced that Alba Fyre would be teaming with Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark to take on Toxic Attraction. However, long before the action made it to the ring, the always deadly NXT parking lot claimed another victim.
Fyre attacked Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne with a baseball bat before escaping in an SUV containing Mandy Rose. This left Dolin and Jayne to fend for themselves, and set up a number one contenders match between Lyons and Stark and the former champions.
In the end it was Stark and Lyons who picked up the win earning themselves a shot at the champions in the process. The victory comes after a tumultuous time for the pair, after they had bene due to compete for the Women’s Tag Team Titles on the main roster earlier in the summer, only to be pulled from the tournament.
At time of writing there is no word on when the title match will take place.
Kayden Carter and Katana Chance have held the titles since winning a Fatal-Four-Way match back in August after the titles had been declared vacant, following Cora Jade turning on her partner Roxanne Perez.
To date the duo have defended the titles only once, defeating Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop at Worlds Collide.
