Omos Vs Bobby Lashley Reportedly Set For WrestleMania 38

Omos & Bobby Lashley

A new report has claimed that Monday Night Raw’s resident colossus Omos is heading for a singles match at WrestleMania 38 against a returning Bobby Lashley!

With WrestleMania 38 just two weeks away, the card for both nights of the extravaganza is almost set. However, there might yet be a few more twists and turns to come.

Although much attention has been paid to the status of Seth Rollins, and his rumoured match Cody Rhodes, another star in search of a WrestleMania appearance is Omos. Since splitting from AJ Styles, the giant Superstar has laid waste to everyone he has faced.

Interestingly when the team of Omos and Styles was broken up, it was reported that there were big plans for both men. In the months since, Styles has challenged for the WWE Title while he’s also set to meet Edge in a dream match at WrestleMania.

It was now been reported that former tag champion will also be in action on the ‘Grandest Stage of them All.’ Furthermore, the report from WrestleVotes suggests that the identity of his opponent might surprise some people.

This was followed by an additional report from Fightful Select which claimed the mystery opponent will be Bobby Lashley. The former WWE Champion was written off WWE television in February due to injury, it was expected that he would miss up to four months of action. It is unknown as to whether Lashley has been cleared to return.

Omos signed with WWE in 2019, before appearing alongside Akira Tozawa as his ‘Giant Ninja.’ He later featured as the bouncer on Raw Underground.

After Raw Underground was cancelled, the giant Superstar joined forces with AJ Styles, being formally introduced at Survivor Series in 2020. As the months passed, Omos helped Styles during his matches, much to the chagrin of the former World Champion’s opponents.

In March, Omos announced that he would be stepping inside the ring for the first time, teaming with Styles to take on The New Day at WrestleMania 37. On the night Styles and Omos won the Raw Tag Team Championships, with the former college basketball star earning praise for his performance.

The pair eventually went their separate ways in December 2021.
