Omos was just as surprised as everyone else when WWE used strippers for RAW Underground.
In case you forgot, WWE RAW star, Omos got his main roster start in the company back in 2020 when he was the bouncer for the Shane McMahon-led RAW Underground shoot-style show. RAW Underground wasn’t like anything on WWE programming, perhaps most notably due to strippers surrounding the mats during the fights.
The 7’3 former tag champion recently appeared on the ‘Say Less with Kaz, Lowkey, and Rosy‘ show and remembered back to being shocked at WWE’s use of strippers during the short-lived segment:
“I first thought they were just actors, but they were like, ‘No, these are literally just strippers.’ And I’m like, ‘Woah.'”
While fans were both hot and cold on the segment, Omos says he actually enjoyed it, especially at the beginning, when he and Shane McMahon would engage in some back-and-forth, something Omos has never done on national television:
“[It was like] Bloodsport. It was a lot of fun because, at first, I was very quiet, and then as we progressed, Shane was just like, ‘Get good at promos and stuff that people say to you.’ He was like, ‘You know what? I’m just going to spitball, and you spitball back to me.’ It became interactive, and I think that kind of helped me go forward.”
Omos recently returned to WWE programming when he defeated Khash Morazzi and Ryan Toombs on the 9/12 episode of Monday Night RAW. Omos wasn’t the only behemoth to return to WWE TV as the recently-returned Braun Strowman is set for his in-ring return on next week’s show.
