Omos has discussed how he managed to make WWE icons The Undertaker, Triple H, and Batista “die laughing” when he suffered an unfortunate sartorial snafu.
Current Raw Tag Team Champion and legitimate giant Omos recalled the incident where he split his pants by repeatedly stepping over the top rope at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Omos recounted the story on Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, saying it was a case of repeated stress on his tight pants that caused the tear in front of the gallery of WWE legends.
“I did it one time and they’re like, ‘You’ve gotta do it again. I’m like, ‘Brother, my pants are gonna rip.’ ‘No, no, no, no.’ I did it again, I got comfortable, and then the fourth time I tried to go, it ripped, literally, and I’m just like, ‘What am I gonna do? I can’t go home. I don’t have another pair of pants. Let’s get on with the show.’ So the whole time doing the show I’m standing ringside and my whole backside is just exposed. They have ‘Taker, Batista, Hunter [Triple H] dying laughing.”
Omos has had the last laugh thus far in his WWE career after he burst onto the scene as AJ Styles’ bodyguard. Together the duo, in Omos’ main roster debut match, won the Raw Tag Team Championship on The Grandest Stage Of Them All at WrestleMania 37. Once Styles managed to tag in the giant Omos, he made short work of reigning champions The New Day.
Before his partnership with Styles, the 7ft 2 inch star competed in a handful of NXT live event matches before becoming Shane McMahon’s bouncer on the short-lived Raw Underground. The ‘fight club’ style event was fronted by McMahon for several weeks in the autumn of 2020 with Omos in charge of who got in and who didn’t.
