Omos has addressed the recent departure of MVP.
While many WWE stars have elected to sign new deals with the company in 2024, MVP joined Bobby Lashley in electing to explore free agency and is now a free agent. Prior to his exit, MVP was frequently seen alongside The Nigerian Giant as his manager.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez on Unlikely, the former Tag Team Champion was asked about the departure and his relationship with MVP:
“Since my time on WWE, I’ve spent the most time with MVP on the road. We’ve driven everywhere. It was him and I, hip to hip. I’m definitely going to miss him. I think it was time and in our time spent together, I was able to learn a lot from him. I was able to pick his brain. We spoke about everything from wrestling to promos. How to be a good heel. Just little things about the business that a lot of guys don’t get, I got to get that one-on-one time with him, someone who is very experienced in this business. I was extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him and I did learn a lot. Forever friendship. He’s forever my guy.”
In a previous interview, Omos detailed the difficulties he previously experienced as a babyface.
When Did Omos Last Wrestle?
Primarily competing at live events, the former Tag Team Champion has competed in 3 televised matches since SummerSlam 2023, all of which have been battle royals. The most recent match was the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal that was held on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 40.
