Omos Believes This WWE Champion Needs To Be Built Like Brock Lesnar

Omos Brock Lesnar WWE

Omos wants a current WWE champion to have a build-up like Brock Lesnar.

Last year at WrestleMania 39, former Raw tag-team champion Omos faced off against Brock Lesnar in a high-voltage battle. Despite the defeat, Omos gained an immense fan following.

During a recent interview with The Undertaker’sPatreon, the former champion shared his thoughts on Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker, and how he needs to have a buildup and have his equity raised like Brock Lesnar before having a feud against him.

My personal opinion, and maybe you can agree or disagree with me, I think [he might need] some more building him to that point because I just remember wrestling Brock last year. I think people are going to expect that, but I think Brock had so much equity that he made sense and I think before you put him with me, you want to give him a lot more equity first.

So that way he’s people feel like he’s on top of the world like he’s gone through everybody, he’s become the unstoppable machine that he is, and they say, ‘What are you going to do with a giant?’ That makes for an even better story overall.”

Breakker is enjoying a great run on the main roster and is already a two-time Intercontinental Champion within months of his NXT call-up, and has been involved in multiple important feuds against Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and many more.

Omos was last seen at the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and has been absent from television since.

The Undertaker Is Optimistic Of Omos’ WWE Career

During a recent Patreon Q&A, The Undertaker shared his optimism over Omos’ WWE career. The Phenom believes that the former champion can take over his role in the promotion as “guardian of the castle”, while the Stamford-based promotion can use his presence as an attraction.

I’m very optimistic. Obviously, now we’ve had several discussions. The fact that they are using him judiciously instead of just being out there, I’m excited. I think he becomes, at some point, I believe he becomes like the guardian of the castle, basically like I used to be. Anybody, any giant monster, anybody that ever came down the pike, I always got them. It was because I was an attraction, and I kept the castle clean. I didn’t get as many world title opportunities and all that.

But you knew, if there was a threat to the kingdom, they knew who they were gonna they were gonna — and I feel eventually that’s gonna be his role. He will be the one that decides who comes and who goes in a storytelling aspect. I just hope that we get some guys coming down the road that actually can pose a physical threat to you.”
