Oba Femi is back to rule.
In the opening match of NXT Deadline during the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, former North American Champion Oba Femi returned after an absence of almost two months. Replacing an injured Eddy Thorpe, Femi returned and earned back his main event spot.
Entering as the fifth entrant in the match, Femi defeated Nathan Frazer, Je’von Evans, Ethan Page, and Wes Lee to become the new challenger for the NXT Championship at the New Year’s Evil event.
Finishing the match with three falls, Femi stood tall over the others. In the final moments of the match, the new challenger dropped Wes Lee and Frazer with a double chokeslam and earned two falls at once.
