Mandy Rose named the two opponents that she’ll face for the NXT Women’s Championship at New Year’s Evil on January 4th!
Former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez and NXT upstart Cora Jade have been going back and forth in recent weeks about who’s more deserving of the next shot to face Mandy Rose.
Gonzalez cites her previous experience and dominant championship run, while Cora Jade has a rightful claim as she not only holds an upset victory over the leader of Toxic Attraction, but also scored the winning pinfall at NXT 2.0 WarGames against incredible odds as she fought through an arm injury suffered in the match.
On the most recent episode of NXT 2.0, Raquel Gonzalez successfully defeated long time friend-turned-rival Dakota Kai in a brutal street fight. After the match, Raquel staked her claim to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship once again, calling out Mandy Rose. However, Cora Jade answered her call instead and claimed that she should be first in line.
Mandy Rose herself appeared via satellite to interrupt the women’s spat, declaring that she will face not one but both women in two weeks’ time in a triple threat match at NXT 2.0 New Year’s Evil.

Immediately following Mandy’s declaration, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions attacked both Raquel Gonzalez and Cora Jade, standing tall in the name of Toxic Attraction.
After spending a few years on WWE’s main roster, Mandy Rose made her return to NXT in July 2021. She formed an alliance with newcomers Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne shortly thereafter, forming the stable Toxic Attraction and soon changing her look from her signature blonde to a brunette bombshell.
The change in appearance signaled a new era for the former Golden Goddess, and she was able to capture the NXT Women’s Championship from Raquel Gonzalez at Halloween Havoc.
