NXT UK: Prelude Announced For April 8th, Main Event Confirmed

WWE have announced that NXT UK: Prelude will take place on April 8th 2021.

Posting on Twitter, WWE revealed that the show will take place at 3PM EST/8PM BST and promised “some truly sensational encounters that NXT UKis always known for delivering!”

It was also announced on the March 18th episode of the show, that the Prelude will be main evented by WALTER and Rampage Brown for the NXT United Kingdom Championship. Walter has held the championship since defeating Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: New York in April 2019. The giant Austrian recently returned to NXT, leading Imperium in their demolition of Tommaso Ciampa.

The main event will be joined by the clash between Noam Dar and Tyler Bate to decide who will be the number one contender for the Heritage Cup which is currently held by A-Kid.

NXT UK: Prelude is set to take place on the same night as night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, however, the UK based show will be airing much earlier in the evening to avoid a clash.

NXT Stand and Deliver is set to be headlined by Finn Balor and Karrion Kross, who will do battle for the NXT Championship.

While Jordan Devlin who has been competing on NXT UK as the NXT Cruiserweight Champion will face Escobar Santos who is also billed as the NXT Cruiserweight Champion, to determine who is ‘the best cruiserweight on the planet.’
