Aoife Valkyrie defeated Dani Luna via pinfall

  • Aoife Valkyrie put Dani Luna away with her signature diving axe-kick from the top rope
  • Both women shook hands after the match
  • Valkyrie remains undefeated following her win

Analysis: This was an excellent showing from both women. Dani Luna provided the perfect base for the undefeated Valkyrie to show off her impressive agility and athleticism.

Rampage Brown is coming to NXT UK

The British wrestling veteran is on his way to NXT UK. A promo video showing his highlights from independent promotions such as PROGRESS Wrestling.

Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster confront Eddie Dennis

  • Mark Andrews acknowledged his history with Eddie Dennis on the independent scene
  • Eddie Dennis fuelled speculation that Mark Andrews might be the man behind the attack of Flash Morgan Webster
  • With Pretty Deadly by his side, Dennis told Andrews and Webster to “keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer”. The Hunt then appeared by the Welshmen’s side before attacking the pair, aligning with Eddie Dennis and Pretty Deadly

Pretty Deadly asked Sid Scala for an NXT UK Tag Team Title opportunity

  • Scala was asked about the Eddie Dennis situation, but he was interrupted by Pretty Deadly who wanted a shot at Gallus’ titles
  • Sam Gradwell walked into the scene to announce that NXT UK’s ‘Thunderstorm’ is back. Gradwell has been recovering from an ACL injury since August 2018

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin defeated Levi Muir via submission

  • This was Levi Muir’s on-screen debut after signing with WWE in January
  • Devlin put Muir away with a Texas Cloverleaf
  • After the match, Jordan Devlin sent a message to the cruiserweight division, claiming to be “the one real Cruiserweight Champion”

Analysis: A solid debut for Levi Muir. Despite the focus being on Jordan Devlin in his return, Muir’s power and strength was clear throughout.

NXT UK Championship: WALTER defeated Ilja Dragunov via submission

  • Dragunov ran straight at WALTER after the bell rang, with both men seemingly continuing with their brawl from last week
  • The ‘Ring General’ quickly put a stop to Dragunov’s attack and started to wear him down
  • After kicking out of multiple powerbombs and a splash, WALTER locked in a sleeper hold in which Dragunov lost consciousness
  • Referee Chris Sharpe called an end to the match – Dragunov did not tap out

Analysis: This match was nothing short of sensational. Coined by Ilja Dragunov as being a match that will “redefine violence”, this brutal encounter left little to be desired.

WALTER continues to be the all-dominant force of European wrestling whilst Dragunov’s resiliency in this match cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with in WWE.

Overall, this week’s edition of NXT UK had everything. Aoife Valkyrie continues to be an undefeated force within the women’s division, though Dani Luna left a very positive impression.

This week’s main event was outstanding. Even in an empty arena, WALTER and Ilja Dragunov managed to capture the same magic as their past encounters at wXw and PROGRESS. Dragunov pushed the Austrian to the point of anger, which is uncharacteristic of the NXT UK Champion as his reign surpasses 573 days.

Two matches have been set for next week’s episode of NXT UK:

  • Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley) and Sam Gradwell vs. Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang)
  • NXT UK Heritage Cup Semi-Final: Noam Dar vs. A-Kid
