NXT UK Results – March 18, 2021

NXT UK Results: Jordan Devlin vs. Trent Seven

Follow all of tonight’s NXT UK live results as the show emanates from BT Sport Studios once again, as Jordan Devlin defends his NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Trent Seven.

Matches and segments scheduled for tonight’s show include:

  • Nathan Frazer vs. Ashton Smith
  • Meiko Satomura vs. Dani Luna
  • NXT UK Champion WALTER makes a statement
  • Ilja Dragunov speaks out following his unhinged attack on Sam Gradwell two weeks ago
  • NXT Cruiserweight Championship: Jordan Devlin vs. Trent Seven

Jordan Devlin returned to NXT stateside this week to confront the Interim Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar. Both men exchanged blows after agreeing to face one another at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver to crown an undisputed champion.

NXT UK Champion WALTER also made the trip across the pond this week, where he confronted and attacked Tommaso Ciampa following Imperium stablemate Marcel Barthel’s loss to the former NXT Champion.

Nathan Frazer vs. Ashton Smith

  • Nathan Frazer evades Smith’s isolation tactics in the early stages.
  • Smith dodges Frazer’s running attack and flattens him with an explosive lariat.
  • Frazer has his opponent sitting in the corner and connects with a Coast-to-Coast resulting in a close count of two.
  • Nathan Frazer evades Smith’s finisher attempt and lands a huge Frog Splash for the win.

  • In a backstage interview handled by Kirsty Bosley, Ilja Dragunov apologises for his unhinged attack on Sam Gradwell two weeks ago.
  • Gradwell interrupts Dragunov mid-apology. He lists examples of match stipulations he would beat Dragunov in, one of which being a no-DQ match.
  • Dragunov cuts Gradwell off by agreeing to a no-DQ match and walks away, leaving Gradwell looking regretful.
  • NXT Prelude is announced to be taking place on Thursday, April 8 during WrestleMania week.
  • Johnny Saint announces that Noam Dar and Tyler Bate will face each other for the number one contendership for the NXT UK Heritage Cup at NXT UK Prelude.

Meiko Satomura vs. Dani Luna

  • Dani Luna uses her strength advantage to control the match early on.
  • Meiko Satomura breaks free of Luna’s control with a flurry of kicks to the chest and outside leg.
  • Satomura spots a grounded Luna and connects with a Scorpio Rising, resulting in a win by pinfall.
  • Both women shake hands after the match.

  • Jinny and Joseph Conners address their loss to Piper Niven and Jack Starz last week.
  • Joseph Conners challenges Jack Starz to a singles match next week.
  • Dani Luna is respectful and positively-minded in her loss to Satomura, claiming that she lost to “the best in the world”.
  • Whilst walking away, Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster approach Luna in support.

NXT UK Champion WALTER makes a statement

  • WALTER urges NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint to find the champion a worthy challenger.
  • Rampage Brown confronts the Austrian and challenges WALTER.
  • Brown shoves WALTER and sends the champion flying to his back.
  • “When we face, this reign comes to an end”, says Brown as WALTER flees the scene.

  • Serving as Xia Brookside’s personal assistant, Nina Samuels is seen spotting for Brookside at the gym.
  • Brookside makes her assistant carry out a whole host of menial tasks and urges her to act swiftly.
  • Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan discuss their recent questionable tactics to win matches.
  • Jordan, though unsatisfied with Williams’ attitude, agrees to accompany his teammate for training.
  • Rampage Brown vs. WALTER for the NXT UK Championship was made official for NXT UK Prelude on April 8.

NXT Cruiserweight Championship: Jordan Devlin vs. Trent Seven

  • Trent Seven uncharacteristically goes straight after Jordan Devlin after the bell.
  • Jordan Devlin taunt his downed opponent and continuously mocks his weight-loss.
  • Devlin uses Seven’s arsenal against him out of spite, as he so casually hits a handful of chops.
  • Sick of Devlin’s cocky demeanour, Seven unloads with a plethora of chops of his own.
  • With momentum on his side, Seven hits an Emerald Flowsion in homage of Mitsuharu Misawa and follows up with a darting outside dive.
  • Seven latches onto Devlin’s back in preperation for a Seven Stars lariat, however Devlin had it scouted and hit a huge headbutt.
  • Devlin attempts to hit a Devlin Side suplex, but Seven responds with a Seven Stars lariat.
  • Trent Seven hits a hellacious double-underhook suplex from the top rope and follows up with a Birminghammer, however the champion manages to get his foot under the rope.
  • The champion pokes his opponent in the eyes and finally hits the Devlin Side, but Seven resiliently manages to kick out.
  • Jordan Devlin climbs to the top rope out of desperation and hits a 450 Splash to the back, consequently scoring the win via pinfall.

Winner: Jordan Devlin via pinfall
