WWE have officially announced that their black and gold brand will kick-off 2021 with NXT: New Year’s Evil on January 6.
The announcement was made during NXT TakeOver: WarGames on December 6 with the show’s Twitter account then confirming that the even will be a television special for WWE’s third brand for what will be the first episode of the New Year.

With one month to go until the special airs on the USA Network, no card has been announced though it is thought that the episode will be similar to NXT Halloween Havoc in October in serving as minor television pay-per-view where old rivalries are ended and new ones created as the company looks to the rest of the year.
As of yet, there is no word on when NXT will hold their next TakeOver event, making the potential main event of New Year’s Evil Finn Balor vs. Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship.
Both men were featured in some form during NXT TakeOver: WarGames, with Finn Balor sending a warning message to fans to enjoy the event because from here on out it is all about him and Karrion Kross sending a crow out onto the stage to herald his imminent return.
Both Kross and Triple H have teased that the powerhouse would make his comeback any second now.
