This weekend’s NXT TakeOver may very well have fans in the crowd, first reported by Fightful Select.
Fightful report that WWE may very well have a “crowd” of sorts present this weekend. The report stated that Fightful have heard ‘from several talent and those close to talent’ that requests were made to bring ‘friends and family’ to the event. The idea being to create a crowd environment at this weekend’s TakeOver. It’s added that talent were asked on Friday afternoon to recommend names. Inside The Ropes can also confirm this report.

On this week’s pre-TakeOver media call, Triple H revealed how the show would have a “unique look and feel that has never been done before” – but didn’t elaborate on what that may entail. You can read the notes from Triple H’s media call ahead of NXT TakeOver here.
This weekend’s event sees the NXT Championship on the line as Kyle O’Reilly challenges Finn Balor. Io Shirai also defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Candice LeRae. Meanwhile, Damian Priest defends the NXT North American Championship against Johnny Gargano. Santos Escobar will defend the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott. Velveteen Dream and Kushida are also set to compete in one-on-one action.
The 31st installment of NXT TakeOver airs this Sunday, live, on the WWE Network.
