The next WWE NXT TakeOver special has been announced for Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2021. The show will take place from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and will air live on the WWE Network.
The announcement was made during NXT’s New Year’s Evil special which saw Balor retain the Men’s NXT Title. NXT’s Valentine’s Day TakeOver will be the 33rd TakeOver PPV to take place. Whilst we’re sure it will be a stacked card, there have been no announcements made yet – aside from a teaser video published on WWE’s YouTube channel.
NXT has successfully been going with theme-led events lately, with shows such as Halloween Havoc, In Your House & of course the New Year’s Evil we’ve just been delivered. Nothing specific has been said yet about themes, but the WWE social media accounts are already suggesting that “Love is in the air….and so is pain.”.

Interestingly, WWE previously held a PPV on Valentine’s Day just one time. In 1999 we saw St Valentine’s Day Massacre: In Your House which featured a Falls Count Anywhere Match between Mankind & The Rock, The Corporation (Chyna & Kane) defeating DX and the main event of Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon in a Steel Cage Match.
The NXT Universe just saw a huge New Year’s Evil show, with Finn Bálor retaining the NXT Championship against Kyle O’Reilly, Karrion Kross taking apart Damian Priest, and Raquel Gonzalez picked up a huge victory over Rhea Ripley.
