WWE have announced that NXT TakeOver: 36 will take place on Sunday, August 22nd.
This means that the show will take place the night after WWE hold SummerSlam at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
There has been no official word on where TakeOver will take place, but it is believed it will be held at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. It was reported by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer back in June that the black and gold brand would hold the event at their most recent home.
NXT TakeOver: 36 will be the first NXT TakeOver event since June’s In Your House special.
At the event, both Karrion Kross and Raquel Gonzalez retained the NXT Championships while LA Knight defeated Cameron Grimes to win the Million Dollar Championship.

NXT has been in a state of flux in recent weeks with Superstars leaving the brand for the main roster, while others have returned. Samoa Joe was the first to return, followed by Mandy Rose from RAW, with Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart and Toni Storm heading to SmackDown.
The July 19th episode of Monday Night RAW also saw the main roster debut of NXT Champion Karrion Kross. During the appearance Kross faced Jeff Hardy and was handily beaten inside two minutes. The result was met with surprise from fans online, a sentiment reportedly echoed by some within NXT.
