A star of NXT 2.0 might want to invest in some hats for the winter months after they had their head shaved at NXT WarGames.
NXT WarGames proved to be the passing of the torch that many fans expected with the new guard of NXT 2.0 shining against many of their opponents who were part of the black and gold brand.
The night kicked off with the women’s WarGames match as Cora Jade claimed the win for her team that included Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, and Kay Lee Ray against Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai.
The NXT Tag Team Champions, Imperium, escaped with their title after defeating Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner. After the bout, Wagner tried to attack O’Reilly but was sent to the canvas by the former Undisputed Era star who flashed the group’s famous hand sign perhaps one last time.
Another Undisputed Era star was also in action as Roderick Strong successfully defended his NXT Cruiserweight Championship against the decidedly not-cruiserweight Joe Gacy.
One time crypto-king Cameron Grimes had his hands full at NXT WarGames with Australian star Duke Hudson. The two men met in a Hair vs. Hair match and many fans were pleasantly surprised when the long-locked Grimes escaped a Razor’s Edge and rolled up his opponent for the win.
Hudson tried to attack Grimes to escape his fate but was soon taken out and put in the chair to receive the chop.
WWE shared footage of the moment Duke Hudson realised what was happening on social media with the star making a quick exit from the confines of the barber chair.

It remains to be seen if Duke Hudson will have had finished the job of shaving his head himself or if he turns up on NXT 2.0 on Tuesday with what Wade Barrett kindly called a “skullet.”
In the night’s main event, NXT veteran Johnny Gargano joined Tommaso Ciampa, LA Knight, and Pete Dunne on Team Black & Gold but the veterans were defeated by the Team 2.0 quartet of Grayson Waller, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo, and Bron Breakker.
