Earlier this week, it was reported that several NXT talents were set to be given new names. It’s now been confirmed that one of those stars who will be renamed is Brendan Vink.
Australian Superstar Brendan Vink will now be known as Tony Modra.
It’s worth noting that Tony Modra is also the name of a former Australian rules footballer who represented Adelaide and Fremantle in the AFL and West Adelaide in the SANFL.

Before joining WWE, Brendan Vink was known as Elliot Sexton. Having wrestled primarily in Australia, Sexton reported to the WWE Performance Center in 2019 after international appearances in PROGRESS Wrestling and NJPW.
Vink only debuted on NXT television back in March, teaming with Shane Thorne to take on current NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Shortly thereafter, Vink and Thorne would appear on WWE RAW several times, before completely disappearing from the red brand. After seemingly moving back to NXT, Vink’s partner Shane Thorne would become RETRIBUTION member SLAPJACK.
It’s now been confirmed that Brendan Vink has been renamed as Tony Modra, and his status as an NXT Superstar has also been confirmed.
Meanwhile, fellow Australian Daniel Vidot, who competed against Sheamus on SmackDown in April, is set to be renamed as Xyon Quinn. Sidney Bateman becomes Akeem Young, while Omari Palmer will now be going by the name Odyssey Jones. One other name has been confirmed as Ivy Nile, however it’s unknown at this time who takes on that moniker.
