WWE has always been known for its colourful characters, whether they’re supernatural entities like The Undertaker, or over-the-top versions of wrestlers’ real-life personalities like Triple H. The stars of the company have often provided inspiration for cosplaying, whether it be at a wrestling event or a fancy-dress party.
Over the Halloween weekend, NXT descended on Melbourne, Florida for a live event that included a Halloween-themed Battle Royal featuring the women of the developmental brand. This was the perfect excuse for the stars of tomorrow to have their own cosplay fun, dressing up as their favourites from WWE’s past. The NXT Instagram page has posted several of the Halloween entrances which you can see below.
First up, two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion Jacy Jane went for the spookiest outfit as The Deadman himself, The Undertaker.
Meanwhile, Zoey Stark decided to pay homage to the Father of NXT and the man in charge of WWE creative, Triple H, complete with his signature sledgehammer as well as his denim and leather jacket combo.
Cora Jade also had a very convincing turn as AJ Lee. The former Diva’s Champion even gave the outfit her personal seal of approval on Twitter, joking she would need to order a DNA test.
Some of the men on the roster also joined in on the fun, with Grayson Waller channelling his inner Dwayne Johnson to cut a promo on R-Truth and Edris Enofe appearing as one of the more bizarre WWE creations, The Boogeyman (thankfully he didn’t seem to be eating any worms).
