For the first time ever WarGames is coming to WWE’s main roster and it has been announced that Survivor Series 2022 will feature both a men’s and women’s WarGames match. While the famous match has been part of NXT for a number of years, it has never been seen on the main roster.
As the big night moves ever closer, the card for the event and the WarGames matches themselves have begun to take shape. On the women’s side, Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley will take on Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, Asuka and a mystery partner.
Roxanne Perez Wants To Team With Becky Lynch
One woman who has eyes on competing in a WarGames match in the future is NXT star Roxanne Perez. The young star only signed with WWE in March, but she has already established herself as one of the premiere women’s performers in NXT.
Appearing on El Brunch de WWE, Perez was asked to name her own dream team. In response, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion named a mix of fellow NXT stars, current stars and former Superstars. Perez said that she would have chosen Cora Jade, if her now former tag team partner hadn’t turned on her.
“Well, I would have chosen Cora, but she lost that now. But I would choose Indi Hartwell, I would chose Becky Lynch. This is hard. Like any wrestlers? Me, Becky Lynch, Indi Hartwell, I’ll choose AJ Lee [laughs] and one more, I would choose Bayley,”
Looking ahead to the future, Perez said that she dreamed of being Divas Champion when she was younger, so now has her sights on becoming Raw and Women’s Champion.
“My dream was always to be a Divas Champion when I was a kid. So maybe if this is possible, if I am Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion at the same time [laughs]. WrestleMania, too,”
Although she currently calls NXT home, Perez made her SmackDown debut on the October 14th edition of the blue brand when she teamed with Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi to take on Damage CTRL.
