A NXT 2.0 star recent suffered a serious injury scare, causing their match to be cut short.
At a TV taping for an upcoming episode of NXT 2.0 a match was abruptly stopped after one of the participants appeared to suffer a serious injury.
The match saw Toxic Attraction take on Indi Hartwell, Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. During the match, Cora Jade hit a cannonball senton on Gigi Dolin before attempting to pick her up. However, Dolin didn’t get up as expected, so Jade quickly pinned her to pick up the win and end the match.
After the bell, Dolin was helped backstage, receiving a standing ovation as she went. Thankfully, the injury appears to not be too serious as Dolin returned to the ring later in the show for a promo segment alongside the rest of Toxic Attraction.
According to PWInsider, the star appeared to be okay, and may have just had the wind knocked out of her.
At the same set of tapings, Bron Breakker appeared to find out the identity of the next major challenger for his NXT Championship.
On the June 7th edition of NXT 2.0 following his latest win, Bron Breakker addressed fans and laid down a challenge for a rival to come out and face him. This surprisingly brought out Apollo Crews who mas making his first appearance on the show since 2016.
During the segment, Crews was greeted like a returning hero and heaped praise on the second generation star, before promising to meet him in the ring down the road. Despite this, it appears that Breakker will have a current NXT star to contend with before any clash with Crews.
