A possible name change is being teased under Triple H’s new direction.
On July 26, Triple H took over the role of Head of Creative following Vince McMahon’s shocking retirement. Under the new regime, there’s been fan speculation that a number of controversial name changes could be reversed.
In recent months, Austin Theory became Theory, Pete Dunne became Butch and Raquel Gonzalez is now known as Raquel Rodriguez. Intercontinental Champion, a and the man formerly known as WALTER was given the name Gunther while in NXT.
However, current SmackDown Superstar and former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Angel has teased the possibility of going back to his previous moniker ‘Angel Garza’ on a recent tweet.

Garza’s name was shortened to ‘Angel’ on November of 2021 when he and real life cousin Humberto were drafted to SmackDown, forming the ‘Los Lotharios’ tag team.
On July 19, Garza celebrated the birth of his first child, seemingly taking time off from WWE in the process.
Garza’s last televised match took place on the July 8th edition of SmackDown where he and Humberto came up short against the Undisputed WWE Tag Team champions, the Usos in a non-title match.
