NXT TakeOver: In Your House will see the return of the biggest live crowd for an NXT event since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
As reported by Fightful Select, the event will see WWE pushing forward in an effort to expand the live audience as the company begins to welcome back fans on a regular basis.
“Fightful was informed that this weekend’s In Your House will feature the biggest WWE CWC-Performance Center audience since before the pandemic.”
The news comes after WWE updated their protocols in May for fans wishing to attend NXT events.
In an email shared on social media by Jon Alba, the company explained that COVID testing would conducted on site the day of the event. The tests will be conducted free of charge and regardless of vaccination status.
Previously fans were required to undertake a test the day prior to the event. While the email also reaffirmed that face coverings are mandatory throughout the event.
However, the report from Fightful also notes that testing will no longer be required. Adding that WWE requests that fans who have returned a positive test, have had symptoms or come into someone who has tested positive do not attend.
WWE are set to return to the road this summer, with a 25-date tour beginning on July 16th with a live SmackDown in Houston, Texas. The company’s first pay-per-view outside of WrestleMania, to be held back in front of a live audience will be Money In The Bank on July 18th.
Meanwhile, WWE recently confirmed that SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21st at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
