Injured NXT Star Returning Soon

NXT 2.0

According to a vignette on the latest episode of NXT, a popular star is returning from injury in short order!

On May 24th, it was announced that viral star Nikkita Lyons was injured and could no longer compete in the Women’s Breakout Tournament. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen appeared in a segment to announce the injury and said that she’d had a “freak accident” while training. Lyons was replaced by Tiffany Stratton in the tournament, who went on to defeat Fallon Henley in the semifinals but failed to win the whole thing when Roxanne Perez defeated her in the finals.

The next day, Nikkita Lyons took to social media and provided an update on her condition, revealing that she’s suffering from a partial tear of her MCL. She did not provide a timeframe for her return to NXT but says that her comeback will be stronger than the setback she’s currently facing.

“I have a partial tear on my MCL, just a sprain. So it could have been worse, but it did refrain me from being able to compete in the Women’s Breakout Tournament. So, that is why your girl is out, but only for… the comeback is always stronger than the setback.”

Now, a vignette on the latest episode of NXT 2.0 revealed that the star is on her way back to the ring and will be returning “soon.”

Elsewhere on the episode, Cameron Grimes challenged Bron Breakker cut a heartfelt promo about Bron Breakker got opportunities because everyone knew who his father was. Grimes has made it known in the past that his father passed away, and that he’s looking to cement his legacy in his father’s honor, and now he’s looking to shoot straight back to the moon when he takes on Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship.
