It has been confirmed that the NXT Championship will be defended by Bron Breakker at NXT’s Great American Bash.
On the June 14th episode of NXT 2.0, Cameron Grimes and Bron Breakker bumped into each other before Breakker’s match with Duke Hudson. Breakker told Grimes that he’d be Champion again soon to which Grimes responded that he didn’t want sympathy. Breakker then told Hudson that he’d defend the title against him in their match later on in the evening.
Breakker defeated Hudson, before being confronted by Cameron Grimes. The former North American Champion said that he was fed up with waiting in line and wanted a shot at the gold. Grimes then went on to tell Breakker that he is getting better and better every time he gets in the ring, but that he has more heart and that he’d put it up against any man or woman in the business.
Grimes then challenged Breakker to a NXT Championship match at Great American Bash, which Bron Breakker accepted.

Bron Breakker is currently on his second NXT Championship reign after defeating Dolph Ziggler on the Raw following Wrestlemania 38. He had previously lost the Championship to Ziggler on March 8, 2022 at NXT Road Block in a triple threat with Ciampa being the third Superstar in the match.
Speaking in a recent interview with Inside The Ropes’ very own Liam Alexander-Stewart, former NXT coach Road Dogg heaped praise on the second-generation star. The tag team legend described Breakker as the “total package,” commenting that he has everything to succeed in WWE.
