NWA Star Claims Dominik Mysterio “Couldn’t Lace Up His Boots”

Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest

In the span of a year, Dominik Mysterio has gone from being a somewhat forgettable wrestler stuck in his father’s enormous shadow to one of the most despised villains active today.

Dominik gets some of the biggest reactions out of anyone in WWE, to the point that he can get beat up on a nightly basis and not suffer any adverse effects on his career.

But despite his incredible ability at getting monstrous reactions and making people want to pay to see him get beat up, there are some people that still think little of the son of Rey Mysterio.

During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, Kerry Morton, the 22-year-old son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton, had little positive to say about Dominik.

Son of WWE Hall of Famer criticizes Dominik Mysterio for lack of in-ring skill

“Listen, tell Dominik Mysterio to find some wrestling boots that he can actually fit in to work this guy. That’s for sure.

Dominik Mysterio couldn’t lace up my boots. Sorry buddy. Just the facts jack… Listen, when you’re a National Champion in cheerleading, a State Champion in wrestling, a State Champion in theatrics, what isn’t there I can’t do?

What did Dominik Mysterio ever do? Who did he ever beat!? That’s the real question.”

Kerry Morton has been wrestling since 2020 and has mainly competed on the independent circuit. His biggest accomplishment to date was winning the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship, which is one of the oldest wrestling championships in the United States.

As for Dominik, his only championship to date was winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships alongside his father back in 2021.
