NWA’s anniversary event, named NWA 73, has officially sold out.
According to Ticketmaster, no seats remain for the event, with Mickie James – who is running an all-women’s pay-per-view called NWA EmPowerrr on the same weekend – also commenting on the achievement.
NWA 73, which celebrates the anniversary of the historic promotion, will take place at the iconic Chase Ballroom. As well as being on the same weekend as NWA Empowerrr, which is guaranteed to rock the wrestling world, there’s added significance around NWA 73 in particular with Nick Aldis surpassing 1,000 days as NWA’s World Champion. Aldis, of course, won the belt at NWA 70, and this year’s iteration would mark almost three years as champion for Aldis, although this year’s event is two months earlier in the year than the event Aldis won the title at.

Meanwhile following NWA’s move to FITE TV, Inside The Ropes recently learned that the promotion’s subscription rate is “far exceeding” the expectations of the global streaming company – both in terms of subscriptions and revenue. FITE TV will host both NWA EMPOWERRR and NWA 73.
NWA’s short residency at the Chase Ballroom – officially named Khorassan Ballroom at Chase Park Plaza – sees the iconic promotion run four shows starting with Empowerrr on Saturday 28th August, followed by the sold-out NWA 73 and two subsequent days of NWA Powerrr tapings on the Monday and Tuesday after.
Meanwhile, NWA fans who can’t attend in person can watch the event via Fite TV here.
