In less than three weeks, The Ring General is scheduled to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk. Entering as the fifth man on the recent 14th July episode of Raw, Punk defeated Bron Breakker to earn himself a shot at the 37-year-old’s World title at the 2025 SummerSlam.

Fresh off his victory against Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the Austrian star’s upcoming match against The Second City Saint has left former Champion Drew McIntyre fuming. Sharing past animosity with both Punk and Gunther, McIntyre vented out his thoughts on X(Twitter).

Goldberg Apologizes To Gunther After WWE SNME Loss

Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, following his retirement match at the July 12th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Goldberg apologized to his retirement opponent following his character-breaking moment during the match.

I laughed when he chopped me, but I didn’t know what to expect. It’s a great work punch, but I thought it was gonna hurt more, that’s all,” Goldberg said. “It just startled me and I didn’t mean to do that. I really apologize because I didn’t mean that. That’s not a rib. I’m not trying to downplay his move, but it caught me off guard and I completely broke character.”
