Pro Wrestling NOAH has today confirmed four legendary grapplers for the final night of the N1 Victory tournament.
Kazuyuki Fujita, Keiji Mutoh, Masakatsu Funaki and Kendo Kashin have all been announced to appear on the October 11th show in Osaka.
No matches for the quartet have been announced thus far, but it marks Fujita’s first appearance in NOAH since his now infamous title challenge against Go Shiozaki earlier in the year. The bout, which lasted almost an hour, made headlines due to its 30 minute stare down between champion and challenger.
Fujita’s Suguira-gun stablemate Kashin has featured more frequently over the past months, primarily in multi-person matches.
Following the closure of Wrestle-1 earlier in the year, the 57 year old Mutoh has seemingly made NOAH his new home, appearing regularly throughout 2020. His most notable outing thus far came in August where he defeated rising star Kaito Kiyomiya in a near 30 minute battle, at the promotion’s 20th anniversary show.
Mutoh was joined by Pancrase veteran Funaki last month as part of an eight person tag team match (alongside Masaaki Mochizuki and Naomichi Marafuji) defeating members of the company’s prolific KONGOH stable.
In addition to the final match of the N1 Victory tournament, Kotaro Suzuki is also slated to be making the 5th defence of his GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship.
More matches are due to be announced as the N1 progresses.
