It has come to light that AEW star and ROH Pure Champion, Wheeler Yuta, has been contending with persistent concussion symptoms, leading to an uncertain timeline for his return to AEW’s programming.
According to Fightful Select, Yuta has been sidelined for approximately four months, with his last appearance dating back to January 10th, when he competed in a Triple Crown Championship match against Eddie Kingston.
Following this event, Yuta has notably been absent from AEW television and was unable to participate in the scheduled CMLL match at the end of March. Fightful has confirmed that Yuta has been grappling with concussion symptoms for an extended period, and as of now, there is no definitive update on his potential comeback.
The ROH Pure Champion has now been out of action for four months. Wheeler Yuta hasn’t wrestled since January 10, when he lost a Triple Crown Championship match against Eddie Kingston. Since then, he’s been largely absent from AEW TV and wasn’t involved in the planned CMLL match at the end of March.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is told that Yuta has been dealing with concussion symptoms for months. As of now we haven’t learned a timetable for his potential return. When we last asked about Yuta in March, the hope was that the injury would not sideline him long. However, that hasn’t been the case. We send our best to Yuta.
The injury’s prolonged impact has raised concerns about Yuta’s return to the ring, contrary to initial hopes expressed in March that the injury would not result in an extended absence.
Will Tony Khan Wrestle In AEW?
Tony Khan spoke about whether he plans on competing in an AEW ring following the segment where he was attacked by Jack Perry and The Elite to which he responded that he doesn’t believe he has the abilities to deliver a good match and that he only wants AEW to deliver the best matches so he would like someone else to get revenge on his behalf.
