“No Buzz Internally” About Drew McIntyre Returning At WWE Money In The Bank

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre hasn’t been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 39 but it’s been reported that a return could be on the horizon.

For weeks there has been a great deal of speculation that the Scottish star will make a return to action at Money In The Bank. Given that the event is taking place in the United Kingdom, it seems an obvious fit that the Scottish star will return on British soil. After all, McIntyre has always enjoyed tremendous popularity in the UK and was cheered to the rafters when he took on Roman Reigns at Clash At The Castle in September 2022.

However, despite the rumours and numerous reports, it seems an appearance from McIntyre in London is far from locked in.

It’s been reported by Mike Johnson via PWInsider Elite, nothing is set in stone for McIntyre’s return to Raw, despite the creative team looking into a comeback at Money In The Back. Johnson added that it’s “not a lock” that McIntyre’s return will take place at the event, and there “wasn’t any buzz internally” about him appearing at the O2 Arena.

Drew McIntyre’s WWE Future Remains Uncertain

On the eve of WrestleMania 39 it was reported that Drew McIntyre was some way from agreeing new terms on a WWE deal, while it was claimed that he was frustrated with his pay and recent creative. The lack of progress on a new contract took on greater urgency when it was revealed the star will become a free agent in 2024.

Although there has been talk about McIntyre to returning to WWE television, there remains no word on a new contract.
